Hair Update

It's been 4 months since using Monat....doesn't seem that long ago! For the first 2 months I used the Balance System mainly, which consists of the Renew shampoo, replenishing masque, and leave in conditioner. I would use the Men's 2 in 1 as a clarifying shampoo once a week or so. I used the IRT spray, which promotes regrowth, each time I wash my hair. I just put a few sprays here and there and then massage it in. For the last 2 months I've been using the new IRT shampoo, IRT spray, Replenish Masque, leave in conditioner and oil. I also use the S3 supplements, when I remember to take them.

I wash my hair almost every day. Once in a while I'll go a day without. I wash with a nickel size of the IRT Shampoo twice, letting it sit for a minute or two each time. I still have half a bottle left also!! Then I put a small amount of the masque on the ends and let that sit for how ever long it takes me to do my business. After I towel dry I use a small amount of the leave in conditioner or masque with 2 drops of oil just on the ends of my hair.

Most times I just let my hair air dry but sometimes I will blow dry it then put a drop of oil in my hands and rub together then run it through my hair. When I blow dry it it's so shiny and feels so soft and smooth. My kids are probably tired of me saying "feel how soft my hair is!!" When it air dries it doesn't go frizzy like it used to, it has a bit of wave to it and it feels soft. When I brush it before my shower there are no little pieces of hair in the sink, that had broken off, like I used to get. My hair was dry and brittle.

In the 2 months I've been using the IRT shampoo my hair has grown at least 3 inches, maybe more. The hairs around my face are actually growing...they never did before!! They just looked like broken hairs that stayed broken. I see hairs sticking straight up on top of my head and the hair at the nape of my neck has grown also. It actually looks like my hair has all these fly aways, I guess I'd call them, until they all grow out. I even have a thinning spot at my left temple that is filling in.

I'm not feeling much of a difference yet in the thickness of my hair. I'm looking forward to that! My hair used to be so thick and since having kids it's gotten very thin. My daughters hair, on the other hand, has been feeling a lot thicker. She also has a ton of hair sticking straight up on top, even my mom noticed it.

As for styling products, I really only use the hairspray, which I love! I've never been one to use a lot of products anyway. I would buy the latest and greatest, use it a few times, then they would sit with all the other products I tried, because they never did what they said they would do! Once in a while I'll use the mouse or taffy if I'm curling my hair.

All in all, I'm excited to see the difference in 6 months or a year!
